Vernon ROCKS hosted its Second Annual Vernon Community Basketball Tournament on November 16, 2018. The event took place on Friday after school, providing youth with a safe, healthy activity to start their weekend. The tournament included 9th-12th grade students playing a 3-on-3 tournament with officers from the Vernon Police Department and staff from Rockville High School. There was over 40 players total, with an additional 30 viewers in the audience!
One of the goals of the event is to remind students that they have positive adult role models in the community that they can go to when they need help or just need to talk. Thank you everyone who participated and helped make the event possible!
