On May 18th, we held our Second Annual Rockville ROCKS! The event allowed over 300 community members to come together, learn about prevention, and spend family time together engaging in various activities. Fifteen local organizations displayed their resources, the Vernon Police Department presented a K9 demonstration, and a Hidden in Plain Sight demonstration allowed for parents to look through a mock teenage bedroom. In addition, family activities included sand art, bubbles, a bounce house, and an “Escape the Vape” escape room designed to educate families about the dangers of vaping. Food was provided by Little Marks BBQ and Kona Ice. Be on the lookout for this event next May!
